The City Council of Palma de Mallorca and the local Government of the Balearic Islands have joined forces to start the development of an ambitious project - the construction of the future Palma Convention Centre.

The winning project for the tender is that of the architect from Navarre, Francisco Mangado, whose ideas are perfectly in tone with the character of our Mediterranean city and its emblematic location on Palma 's seafront.

As was mentioned last week, the Palau de Congressos attended the IMEX Fair in Frankfurt from the 24th until the 26th of May, this being one of the most outstanding fairs of its type in the CCI ( Congresses, Conventions & Incentives) sector. IMEX brought together over 9,000 professionals from 160 countries at this year’s event, making it one of the most prestigious in the sector. [+]

The Palau has actively and directly started in the marketing of its space. Because of this, the commercial team has planned to attend several fairs and marketing events all over Spain and in Europe. One of the first has been in Vigo (Spain), MITM 2011. [+]

The Palau’s web site now has the new version of the video of the Convention Centre, where you can take a virtual tour of the inside and outside of the facility. The marketing brochure is also included in German, thus completing the ten languages planned. [+]
